The Plano MLK Celebration Committee is a volunteer organization made up of people from Plano, Texas and the surrounding
communities. Each January the committee puts on a number of events in Plano to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Planning for these events starts almost a year in advance. General committee meetings are held once every few months
and then monthly as it gets closer to the January celebration. Sub-committees are formed for each of the individual
events.
